Welcome Back To Me

This is like the elevntyeth time I’ve had a “I haven’t posted in years but here I am and I’m back and ready to go again” post. Will it stick this time? Who knows. I wouldn’t bet on it, LoL!! But anyways, please indulge me in my little game.

The other day I was thinking about how weird it is that I pay all this money to the cell phone company and the home internet company and it’s basically to look at Facebook and a couple news sites. I don’t know if that’s normal or if I’m just weird or whatever. I know that back in the olden days of up to 10 years ago I was doing a lot more activity on other sites. Now, FB is trying to take over my everything.

It’s a pretty good platform I can’t deny that. But there should be more to it (the internets) than that. When I first got online it was with Prodigy way back in 1991 with my Tandy 286 computer from Radio Shack. It had that same feel as FB does today. There was lots of things to see and do but all in the same place and you sort of felt like you were missing out on something.

So here I am and am going to start by creating my own off-Facebook world. Well, it’s already created but I’m going to try to come around here once in a while. Maybe find some other blogs and websites to frequent. I don’t really know. But I felt compelled to do something to break free from the Zuck just a little bit.
